Icelolly Van - Top of the Props?

And so it begins - the birth of the Icelolly van - We purchased a 1975 Bedford CF Icecream van. We intend to make it the official vehicle of Icelolly.com a promotional tool for our website.

At the moment the van is in a sorry state and on the day we purchased the vehicle we broke down on the hard shoulder of the M61 - on the way back from Preston. The vehicle apparently set on fire as the exhaust was in contact with the fibreglass body. The prop shaft also dropped out of the van. Luckily we had joined the AA that morning and the AA man said Glen - our driver - was lucky to be alive as it could have flipped the van over when the prop shaft fell from the vehicle!

Icelolly.com is a fast holiday search offering low cost holiday offers and cancellations. The vehicle on the other hand is a slow ice cream van offering endless garage bills and malfunctions - But the challenge ahead is an exciting one. We aim to restore this 1975 Bedford CF to a former glory and hit the road, chimes blasting out , spreading the word of Icelolly.

Sprayed in our distinctive red livery and emblasened with the flowing icelolly logo it will hopefully be at the forefront of our marketing push.

We have started to make a film about our exploits in the Icelolly van and will keep you posted with any updates.
